Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked early Thursday morning by an unidentified assailant, resulting in multiple stab wounds. He is currently recuperating in a hospital in Mumbai. The incident has left his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, deeply unsettled, leading him to rearrange his professional obligations.

Ibrahim's Diler shoot paused

According to the report, Ibrahim has decided to postpone the filming of his highly anticipated sports drama, Diler, until Saif returns home and fully recovers. A source stated that the shooting of Maddock's Diler was underway but has been put on hold following the attack on Saif. The film also features Sreelala, and it is being directed by Kunal Deshmukh. The insider added that Ibrahim wants to remain by his father's side until he comes home and fully recuperates.

What we know about the project

It is understood that details regarding the project remain limited; however, it is anticipated that Diler will focus on the life of a marathon runner. This will mark Ibrahim's second undertaking in the industry. The remaining cast members for the project have yet to be revealed.

Saif Ali Khan remains hospitalised

On Thursday morning, an intruder allegedly broke into Saif's residence and stabbed him. The actor sustained several injuries, including one near his spine and another on his neck. He was promptly taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent multiple surgical procedures. Fortunately, he is now out of danger and is in the process of recovery.

On Friday, the medical team attending to Saif reported that he was recovering well after the knife attack, during which he had lost a significant amount of blood. They indicated that he might be discharged within the next two to three days. The 54-year-old actor underwent an emergency surgery that lasted five hours at Lilavati Hospital and has been advised to take ample rest. He has since been moved from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a regular ward. In the meantime, Kareena Kapoor has requested privacy as they navigate this traumatic experience.
