Ibrahim Ali Khan Criticizes Paparazzi for Intruding on Taimur and Jeh’s Childhood
1 month ago | 5 Views
Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif Ali Khan's son, shared his thoughts on how the paparazzi are always eager to snap pictures of his brothers, Taimur and Jehangir. In a chat with Filmfare, he mentioned that he might be among the last group of celebrity kids to experience a 'normal childhood' without the influence of social media, where everyone feels free to voice their opinions. Here’s what he had to say.
Ibrahim Ali Khan talks about Taimur and Jeh being in the spotlight for photos
Ibrahim shared his thoughts on growing up in a family deeply connected to the film industry, with Saif as his dad, Amrita Singh as his mom, and Sharmila Tagore as his grandmother. He expressed sympathy for his younger brothers, who are constantly in the spotlight.
He mentioned, “I look at Jehangir and Taimur, and I can’t help but feel sorry for them. Taimur is about to turn eight, and he’s already being chased by photographers when he tries to leave the house. Jeh, who’s only four or five, is also getting the same treatment. These days, it’s normal for kids their age to be glued to iPads, but that wasn’t the case when I was growing up. I feel like I’m part of the last generation that experienced a typical childhood.”
Ibrahim went on to say that the paparazzi make it hard for his brothers to enjoy their childhood freely, unlike him and his sister, Sara Ali Khan, who could play outside without being hounded. He remarked, “The paparazzi don’t even give these kids a moment to breathe. I only started dealing with them when I turned 18, and I’m really thankful I had a normal childhood. To me, a normal childhood means not being surrounded by screens and not worrying about what everyone else thinks.”
He also recalled that when he was a kid, it wasn’t usual for photographers to wait outside his house to snap pictures of him heading to judo class. Still, he acknowledged that Taimur is quite the ‘handsome’ kid and understands why he attracts so much attention as a ‘star.’
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's message to the media
It's important to note that Saif and Kareena Kapoor have requested that the media refrain from taking photos of their kids, Taimur and Jeh, following the home invasion and stabbing incident in January. Kareena even reminded the paparazzi of this when they were out together in February. Prior to that, Taimur was frequently seen on paparazzi pages. Additionally, she has stopped sharing their pictures on Instagram.
