Once one of Bollywood's favorite couples, they were caught hugging and chatting while the paparazzi snapped away at this rare encounter.

Although their surprise interaction delighted fans, for Shahid, it was just a 'totally normal' moment with his former flame and co-star, Kareena Kapoor.

Shahid's perspective on how people are all about that Kareena moment

While chatting with the media on the green carpet at the IIFA digital awards, Shahid was asked about his reunion with Kareena. He casually mentioned, "For us, it’s nothing new... we met on stage today, but we bump into each other all the time. It’s totally normal for us... if people enjoyed it, that’s great."

Shahid and Kareena dated back in the 2000s and appeared in several films together, like Fida, Chup Chup Ke, and Jab We Met, where their chemistry really clicked with fans. However, they broke up just before filming Jab We Met.

Fast forward a few years, Kareena is now married to Saif Ali Khan and has two sons, while Shahid is happily married to Mira Rajput and has a son and a daughter.

The 25th IIFA is taking place in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This Sunday, Shahid and Kareena are set to take the stage. Shahid will be dancing to his popular tracks, while Kareena will honor her grandfather, the iconic filmmaker Raj Kapoor, with a special tribute.
