IFFI 2024: Ranbir Kapoor reveals wife Alia Bhatt asked 'Who's Kishore Kumar?' when they first met

Ranbir Kapoor recently attended the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024 in Goa. The Bollywood actor was a part of the conversation with filmmaker Rahul Rawail at the film festival. At IFFI 2024, Ranbir announced the Raj Kapoor Film Festival to be held from December 13 to 15 all over India. While talking about the same, the actor recalled his wife and actress Alia Bhatt's knowledge of Bollywood music and films.

At the event, Ranbir told the audience that everyone would be able to watch the restored version of 10 Raj Kapoor films at his late grandfather's film festival. He hoped that the audiences would come to attend the Raj Kapoor Film Festival as well.
It was during this conversation that Ranbir recalled, "I hope you guys come as well (to watch the film festival). I remember the first time I met Alia, she asked me 'Who's Kishore Kumar?' It's just a circle of life, people are forgotten. It's important we remember our roots."
Kishore Kumar was a legendary singer of Indian cinema. His contribution to the Indian film industry remains unparalleled. Some of his hit songs include Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, O Mere Dil Ke Chain, Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan, Zindagi Ki Yahi Reet Hai, and many more.
Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming projects
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir Kapoor has a couple of exciting projects lined up. The actor will be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Part 1 and 2, which will be released in 2026 and 2027. Kapoor will be seen alongside Sai Pallavi and Yash. Kapoor also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War lined up with his wife Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The third mega project that Ranbir will work on is Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal Park.
