Anubhav Sinha's recent show 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack' was recently released on Netflix. The show features a star-studded cast, including Vijay Varma, Naseeruddin Shah, Dia Mirza, Pankaj Kapur, Arvind Swamy, Manoj Pahwa, Aditya Srivastava, Kumud Mishra, and Patralekhaa, among others. Besides garnering positive reviews, the show is also making headlines as a few people are accusing it of 'whitewashing' the events and they are also upset that the names of the terrorists have been changed. 

Anubhav Sinha 'indebted' to fans for their love amid boycott calls

The director of the show Anubhav Sinha has now expressed his gratitude towards the viewers who are praising his show. However, he has not yet responded to the calls for a boycott of the series yet. Sinha has been resharing the positive responses the Netflix series is receiving from the viewers. 

The director took to his X (Twitter) account and wrote: "इतना प्यार मिला पिछले तीन दिनों में कि बयान नहीं कर सकता। ऋणी। (I have received so much love in the last three days that I cannot describe it. I am indebted).

Recently, in an interview with NDTV, Anubhav Sinha called filming IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, the best experience of his career. He said, “Those seven days are the most blissful shooting days of my 30 years of directing. When I look back, dude you have got Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Kapur standing there and you are directing them.” 

IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack is based on the book 'Flight Into Fear'. It delves into the real-life events of the 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814. The show explores the high-stakes negotiations that followed after the hijacking of the plane and sheds light on one of Indian history's most gripping aviation incidents.
