Chiranjeevi recently participated in the American Progressive Telugu Association (APTA) Katalyst 2025 conference held in Hyderabad, where he discussed the accomplishments of his family. The actor expressed pride in referring to his brother Pawan Kalyan and son Ram Charan as his 'achievements,' sharing that he had once envisioned his family mirroring the success of the Kapoor family in Bollywood.
Chiranjeevi on his dream for the Mega family
Chiranjeevi was the pioneer of his family to enter the film industry. Since his debut, many relatives have followed his path, including his brothers Pawan and Nagababu, his son Ram, and his nephews Allu Arjun, Allu Sirish, Varun Tej Konidela, Sai Durgha Tej, Vaisshnav Tej, along with his niece Niharika Konidela.
During the event, Chiranjeevi expressed, “I have shared my accomplishments here… Pawan Kalyan represents my achievement; Ram Charan is also my achievement; all the children in my family are my achievements. I derive a sense of fulfilment when I reflect on their successes,” indicating that their achievements resonate deeply with him.
The actor reminisced about his aspiration for the Mega family to mirror the legacy of the Kapoor family. He remarked, “Recently, Pawan reminded me of a statement I made years ago. I have always envisioned the Mega family resembling Raj Kapoor’s. Pawan noted that I believed in this vision so strongly that we have reached this point today. I expressed my gratitude to God when a publication referred to us as the Kapoor family of the south. This recognition is solely due to the affection we have received from our audience.”
Many individuals within Chiranjeevi's family are involved in the film industry, either as actors or in production roles. His daughter, Sushmita Konidela, has established herself as a costume designer. In 2023, Varun entered into marriage with actress Lavanya Tripathi, and there are recent discussions regarding Pawan's son, Akira Nandan, potentially pursuing an acting career. Additionally, Pawan's former spouse, Renu Desai, expressed at an event her anticipation to see their son on-screen, emphasizing that the decision to act ultimately lies with him.

Chiranjeevi is set to appear in Malladi Vassishta’s upcoming film, Vishwambhara, which was originally planned for a Sankranthi release. This socio-fantasy movie is anticipated to premiere in theatres this summer.
