YouTuber Apoorva Mukhija has returned to social media following a two-month break, which began after she became involved in the controversy surrounding India's Got Latent. In her latest video, Apoorva revealed that she had received disturbing messages in her direct messages, including one from a stranger who had even pinpointed her address in Mumbai.

What Apoorva said

In the video, Apoorva recounted an experience where her manager informed her that there would be additional FIRs and that she needed to be prepared for the heightened scrutiny surrounding the incident. She expressed her disbelief, stating, "I couldn't comprehend what was happening. We only see such things in movies; it seems impossible. As I began to read my direct messages, I encountered numerous graphic threats, including violent intentions towards me. One particular message stood out, where the sender claimed to know my residence and detailed his intentions to harm me."

‘I love Bombay for its security’

Apoorva was overcome with emotion, stating, “I felt immense fear because the one aspect I cherish about Bombay is its safety. I feel incredibly secure living in this city, in this home. I adore this house. It was hard to accept that I might not be able to return to it.”

After a few weeks following the controversy surrounding India’s Got Talent, Apoorva returned to Instagram with new content. One of her posts included a warning: "Trigger warning: This post contains references to acid attacks, rape threats, and death threats." She shared several screenshots of the abusive comments and threats she received, captioning the post, “And that’s not even 1%.” In a separate post, she expressed, "Do not take the narrative away from the storyteller."
