Actor Hwang In Youp has officially moved beyond his history of playing second leads. Following the significant success of Family By Choice, the K-drama star is reportedly poised to maintain his successful trajectory in the entertainment industry with a new endeavour.

On January 8, an entertainment official disclosed to JTBC Entertainment that the standout from True Beauty has been confirmed as the male lead for the forthcoming 2025 K-drama, Dream to You. The initial casting report revealed that writer Jung Eun Bi, known for her work on dramas such as The Beauty Inside (featuring Seo Hyun Jin and Lee Min Ki) and Doom at Your Service (starring Seo In Guk and Park Bo Young), will be responsible for the script of this new project. Official announcements regarding the confirmed broadcast date for the Dream to You K-drama have yet to be made.

Hwang In Youp, in his upcoming project, seeks to set new benchmarks with his return to the romantic comedy genre. The South Korean actor will portray the character of film director Woo Soo Bin, who has had his life predetermined by his parents. Ultimately breaking free from these constraints, he pursues his long-held aspirations and works towards defining his own identity.

Additionally, the drama series will delve into the life of reporter Lee Jae, who, despite living boldly and without fear during his teenage years, finds himself confined by the harsh realities of adulthood. As he enters his thirties, the character leads a conventional life, lacking the extraordinary elements that once fueled his passion. Currently, details regarding the casting of the deuteragonist remain undisclosed, and much of the information concerning the show's production and airing schedule is still unclear.
