The Roshans have been deeply involved in the film industry for seven decades. The family has made tremendous contributions to Bollywood across three generations, starting with composer Roshan and continuing with his sons Rakesh and Rajesh, who are filmmakers and musicians, respectively, and ending with superstar Hrithik Roshan. Mid Day reported that a documentary named The Roshans was in production in July.

The Roshans' documentary production and progress

The tabloid found out a year later that Shashi Ranjan, the director, had finished filming and is now supervising the editing. Beginning in 1948, when the late Roshan arrived in Bombay and became one of the most successful composers of his time, the documentary series will follow his life and career. The show will examine the family's lasting impact, Hrithik's rise to fame, and the phenomenal success of Krrish 3 (2013) over the course of four or five episodes.

An insider who worked on the film claims that director Ranjan interviewed a member of the family about their current position in the industry. In addition to the family, the show features interviews with celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Jeetendra, who have all been in the spotlight before. It also features Sham Kaushal, who has directed action scenes in the majority of Rakesh's films. Two of Bollywood's rare three-generational families are the Roshans and the Kapoors. This series will follow the journey of Hrithik and Rakesh from their successful debut in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai [2000] to Rakesh's recovery from throat cancer.

Rakesh Roshan's contribution and creative control

Rakesh, whose credits include the smash hits Khoon Bhari Maang (1988), Karan Arjun (1995), and the Krrish films, is overseeing the whole production and lending his keen storytelling skills to it.

As one of the show's producers, he's going all out to make sure it's enjoyable and polished. Fascinatingly, he has made it into a musical entertainer, complete with songs from his previous films and original compositions by his father and brother. While filming War 2, Hrithik watched every episode and shared his thoughts.

The source claims that the producers will pitch it to well-known streamers after the editing is complete.
