It's been 25 years since Hrithik Roshan first stepped into the spotlight as a lead actor in his dad Rakesh Roshan's film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. At the trailer launch for the Netflix docu-series The Roshans, Hrithik shared that he feels a bit 'nervous' about how people will react to the film now that it's being re-released.

At the event, Hrithik was shown a picture from Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai where he was jamming on the guitar. He jokingly admitted, “I’m really nervous about the film coming out again. People are going to watch it after 25 years and think, what were we even thinking back then? It’s not what we remember at all.”

But he quickly shifted gears and shared that just a day before filming Pyaar Ki Kashti Mein, he was told he had to ‘play’ the guitar. He laughed, saying, “When you throw something like that at someone like me, you can bet I’ll freak out. I didn’t know how to play the guitar, and suddenly I had to look like a pro. I couldn’t sleep that night, just kept imagining how to move my fingers and what the sound would be like. I went totally bonkers.”

Even though Hrithik thought he nailed it during filming, his son, who’s into music, later told him he was hitting all the wrong notes.

Hrithik made his big splash in 2000 with Rakesh’s Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, and it shot him to stardom in no time. His uncle, Rajesh Roshan, created the catchy soundtrack, featuring hits like Na Tum Jano Na Hum, Dil Ne Dil Ko Pukara, and Ek Pal Ka Jeena. The movie hit theaters on January 14 and ended up being the second-highest-grossing film of the year, right after Mohabbatein, which came out in October. To celebrate Hrithik's birthday, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai is set for a re-release on January 10.

Also, there's a four-part docu-series called The Roshans coming to Netflix on January 17. It will dive into the lives and careers of Roshan Lal, Rajesh, Rakesh, and Hrithik.
