Director Rakesh Roshan has discussed his son, actor Hrithik Roshan's struggle with stammering. In an interview with the news agency ANI, Rakesh recounted an incident at an event where Hrithik was unable to articulate the phrase "thank you, Dubai." He also mentioned a time when Hrithik locked himself in the bathroom.

Rakesh opens up about Hrithik's battle with stammering

Addressing Hrithik's speech difficulties, Rakesh expressed, "I felt a sense of sadness. He has so much to express. He is highly educated and exceptionally intelligent. Yet, he often restrained himself due to his stuttering. I recall an occasion in Dubai when he simply wanted to say thank you, Dubai, but he struggled with the word 'D...'"

Hrithik once locked himself in bathroom

"There was a time he locked himself in the bathroom to memorize those two sentences just to say thank you, Dubai. It pained me to see such a capable individual held back by this issue. He dedicated himself to overcoming it, waking up each morning to read the newspaper in English, Hindi, and Urdu for an hour. Now, he has not stuttered for the past 10, 12, or even 14 years."

Hrithik Roshan has previously addressed his stammering in interviews, sharing the difficulties he faced as a child during his school years.
