
Hrithik Roshan Gets Candid About Krrish 4 Directorial Debut: ‘Can’t Tell You How Nervous I Am’

On March 28, Rakesh Roshan announced that the fourth installment of the successful superhero film series Krrish is currently in development, with Hrithik Roshan set to make his directorial debut. Recently, at an event in Atlanta, Georgia, Hrithik officially confirmed his role as director and discussed the upcoming film.

In response to a question about whether he is directing Krrish 4, Hrithik acknowledged that fans were already aware of this information. He expressed his nervousness, stating, "I can’t convey how anxious I am. I require all the support I can get." As the audience applauded, he remarked, "I will carry all the affection back with me."
As the video made its way online, fans expressed their admiration for the actor. One tweet stated, "And the man himself has confirmed that he will be directing #Krrish4. You will excel—I always believed it!" Another comment read, "I am truly excited to witness Hrithik in the role of director for Krrish 4." A third user remarked, "Eagerly anticipating his directorial debut."
Previously, esteemed filmmaker Rakesh Roshan took to Instagram to reveal that Hrithik would be at the helm of Krrish 4. Accompanying a photo of them together, he wrote, "Duggu, 25 years ago I introduced you as an actor, and now, after a quarter of a century, you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers—Aditya Chopra and myself—to advance our most ambitious project, #Krrish4. I wish you immense success in this new role, along with my best wishes and blessings!"
About the Krrish franchise
Krrish 4 represents the fourth chapter in the superhero film series that commenced with Koi... Mil Gaya in 2003, starring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta in the principal roles, alongside Rekha, who portrayed Hrithik's mother. This was succeeded by Krrish in 2006, which introduced Priyanka Chopra as the female lead, and Krrish 3 in 2013, featuring Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi as the villains, alongside Hrithik and Priyanka. The franchise is among the most successful in India, having amassed a global revenue of ₹575.99 crore.
In addition to this, Hrithik is set to reprise his role as Major Kabir Dhaliwal in the forthcoming film War 2. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, this film will also mark Jr NTR's debut in Bollywood, where he will take on the role of the antagonist. Kiara Advani will star as the female lead, and the film is slated for release in theaters on 14 August.
