Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the upcoming film War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. At an event held in Atlanta, Georgia, Hrithik provided an update, indicating that the filming is nearly finished, with only one song—featuring Jr NTR—remaining to be shot.

Hrithik Roshan shares an update on War 2

After attendees were treated to a preview of Hrithik from the original War during the event, the host inquired about the status of War 2. Hrithik replied, “I was quite anxious about how the sequel would turn out, but I must say I am incredibly proud of this film. Only one song is left to shoot, and it features Jr NTR, which I am heading back to film now. I hope to perform well. I’m feeling nervous—and he’s exceptional. However, I believe this film will surpass the first part. So, please wish me luck.”

He also referred to Jr NTR as his favorite co-star during the event, stating, “I just completed War 2 with him, and he is remarkable. He’s an outstanding teammate! I think we’ve accomplished something great, and I can’t wait for you all to see it. War 2 is set for release on August 14.”

About War 2

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is part of YRF’s Spy Universe and serves as the sequel to the successful film War, which starred Hrithik and Tiger Shroff. This film marks Jr NTR’s debut in Bollywood and features Kiara Advani in the leading female role. It is slated for theatrical release on August 14, 2025.

In addition to War 2, Hrithik has taken on the role of director for Krrish 4. Rakesh Roshan shared a photo with his son on Instagram, stating, “Duggu, 25 years ago I introduced you as an actor, and now, after 25 years, you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers—Aditya Chopra and myself—to advance our most ambitious project, #Krrish4. I wish you all the success in this new role, along with my best wishes and blessings!” The official cast and crew for the film have yet to be announced.
