The documentary's trailer was unveiled by Netflix on Tuesday. This project chronicles Honey Singh's journey, detailing his rapid ascent to fame, his subsequent disappearance, and the challenges he faced thereafter.

The trailer begins with archival footage of a young Honey Singh playing the sitar. It highlights his modest beginnings, as the musician invites viewers into the home where he spent much of his life. The residence, lacking windows, serves as a backdrop for Honey's assertion in the trailer that it did not hinder his aspirations.

Following this, the trailer showcases his rise to prominence, featuring clips from his recording studio, live performances, and music videos. Notably, superstar Salman Khan appears in the trailer, commending Honey for his artistic talent.

“Honey possesses a unique quality that no one else has, which is 'Yo Yo Honey Singh' (sic),” Salman remarked.

The trailer highlights his decline by emphasizing his legal troubles stemming from allegations of producing inappropriate music. In the video, he also discusses his withdrawal from the public eye and his health challenges.

Rich in emotion, the trailer features Honey Singh expressing that he experienced a living hell. Additionally, his parents make a rare appearance, visibly emotional as they recall the moment he sought their assistance.

He stated, “For many years, the media has circulated numerous speculations about me, and I have not had the chance to present my viewpoint. This documentary provides the perfect opportunity to share my narrative. My fans have consistently supported me, even during my absence, and I am profoundly thankful for that.” He further expressed, “This docu-film transcends the public persona to unveil my true self — the triumphs, the challenges, and everything in between. I am eager to finally present my journey to the world.”

Director Mozez Singh noted that Honey granted him “unprecedented access to his life.” He remarked, “The trust he has placed in me to tell his story has been a significant moment of truth for me, both as a filmmaker and as a human being.”

Regarding the project, producers Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain stated, “We are thrilled to unveil the lesser-known facets of the journey of one of India’s most cherished music icons—there are few who haven’t danced to at least one of his tracks, and now is the moment to discover the authentic him, without filters.”
