Honey Singh Reveals Ajay Devgn’s Initial Reaction to His 4-Hour Delay on Aata Majhi Satakli Set: 'I Was Bracing for Trouble'

On April 22, the producers of Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 unveiled another song from the movie, named Money Money, at a grand event in Mumbai. During the song's launch, Honey Singh reminisced about arriving four hours late on the Singham Returns set to film the song Aata Majhi Satakli. However, his experience only increased his admiration for the actor.

Honey remembered creating Ajay's song Aata Majhi Satakli within just 24 hours and said, “I want to express my gratitude to Bhushan ji for this chance. He has always had faith in me. I do have one complaint – he consistently calls me for songs at the last moment. You won't believe it, but I composed Ajay sir’s previous song Aata Majhi Satakli from Singham Returns in merely 24 hours! Thankfully, for this song, we had more than 24 hours. Raj Kumar Gupta sir, Kumar Mangat Pathak sir, and Abhishek Pathak traveled to Delhi to meet me. ”

Honey Singh recalls Ajay's reaction to him reaching late on set

He went on to recount Ajay’s response upon his late arrival on set and said, “I am a fan of not just Ajay Devgn the actor but also Ajay Devgn the person. I want to tell a story. I showed up four hours late on the sets of Aata Majhi Satakli. Mujhe laga uss din mujhe maar padne waali hai! (I thought I’ll get a beating today) But Ajay Devgn sir welcomed me very warmly. I became an even greater fan of him. When I was on the sets of Raid 2, I arrived on time (laughs)! Maine apni kaafi galtiyan sudhari hai (I have attempted to correct my mistakes). I have gained a lot of insights from them, particularly if you wish to have a sustained career in the industry. ”

Raid 2 is a crime thriller film directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. The film is a sequel to the 2018 hit Raid and sees Ajay Devgn reprising his role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, tracking another white-collar crime. The film stars Riteish Deshmukh as the main antagonist, and Vaani Kapoor has replaced Ileana D'Cruz as Ajay's wife. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on May 1.
