Hollywood Stars Flee LA Wildfires: Desperate Search for Hotel Rooms Amid Crisis

With the wildfires tearing through Los Angeles, a bunch of Hollywood's biggest stars are rushing to find hotel rooms as they evacuate their homes amid the chaos. Many properties, including those belonging to well-known celebrities, have been turned to ash, prompting these famous figures to quickly reserve suites at the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel to escape the disaster happening all around them.

Hollywood stars are having a tough time booking hotel suites

Many celebs reportedly showed up at the hotel in their Teslas and Bentleys, wearing whatever they had on when they left home due to the fires, according to sources for The Mirror US. Luxury spots in Los Angeles like The Peninsula, Four Seasons, Sunset Tower, L’Ermitage, and Bel Air are all booked up, with rooms going for over $1,000 (£819) a night. Even with those high prices, the demand is through the roof as stars and other evacuees scramble to find a safe place away from the wildfires.

A source shared with Mail Online that the vibe at the Art Deco Sunset Tower feels very “Titanic-like.” They mentioned, “We’ve got the music, cocktails, delicious food, and a piano player. But it’s heartbreaking because people are losing everything, and no one knows what they’ll return to. It’s really sad.”

At the Beverly Hills Hotel, another insider noted that many guests brought their pets along while evacuating. They said, “There are dogs everywhere in the hotel. The staff is running around with pooper scoopers, but nobody cares. It’s nice to have them here with their calming presence. There’s constant barking and a bit of chaos, but it’s all in good fun.”

Celebrities seen at hotels after heading out from their homes

Hotels are keeping quiet about which celebrities are staying with them, but Kathy Hilton was seen hanging out at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to Mail Online. The same report mentioned that Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were also spotted at The Peninsula, along with Jamie Lee Curtis.

In a really touching move, Jason Oppenheim from Selling Sunset has stepped up to help those impacted by the wildfires. He announced that his company, The Oppenheim Group, will provide their services for free to anyone looking to buy or rent a new home after the disaster. In a sincere video message, he shared, “As real estate agents, we have a duty to assist them in finding a place, even though it’s tough with so many people searching and not enough homes available.”

He added, “The Oppenheim Group is here to represent anyone at no cost, or we’ll refund any commission if you’ve lost your home and are now displaced. We’re committed to helping you find a new place or doing our best to assist you in finding a rental.”
