Hina Khan has been sharing her journey since opening up about her battle with breast cancer. Recently, she shared that she was having dinner with her family when she received the test results that left her completely stunned. 

Hina remembers

While guesting on the sets of India’s Best Dancer vs Super Dancer, Hina opened up about the night she received her stage three breast cancer diagnosis. The show, hosted by Haarsh Limbachiyaa, features judges like Malaika Arora, Geeta Kapur, and Remo D’Souza.

Reflecting on that moment, Hina shared, “My partner came home while I was having dinner. After I finished, he told me the results were positive, and I saw a tear roll down his cheek. It was a tough moment; I was silent for about 10 minutes.”

She continued, “Just before I got the news, I had ordered falooda with my brother. When the delivery arrived, it felt like ‘something sweet has come.’ That falooda became a pivotal moment for me. Instead of sinking into despair, I chose to stay positive. We enjoyed the falooda together and then went to bed.”

Throughout her treatment, Hina realized how crucial caregivers are, saying, “I understood that caregivers often endure more than we do. I made it a point to keep the home environment positive. I never acted like a patient and stayed true to my lively self.”

Hina also mentioned that her surgery, which was supposed to last 8 hours, ended up taking 15. Her first thought upon waking was about her caregivers. "When they wheeled me out of the operating room, everyone was waiting at the door. I smiled at them, held their hands, and that smile changed everything,” Hina recalled.

Hina has been diagnosed with cancer

In June 2024, Hina revealed that she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. In her Instagram update, she mentioned, “Hey everyone, I want to clear up some recent rumors and share some important news with all my Hinaholics and everyone who cares about me. I’ve been diagnosed with Stage Three breast cancer.”

She went on to say, “I’m strong, determined, and fully focused on beating this disease. My treatment has already started, and I’m ready to do whatever it takes to come out of this even stronger. I would really appreciate your respect and privacy during this time.” Since then, the actress has been sharing her treatment journey through posts and videos on social media.

Hina has appeared in popular Hindi TV series like Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2018-2019) and Naagin 5 (2020). Most recently, she was seen in the Punjabi comedy film Shinda Shinda No Papa alongside Gippy Grewal.
