Hina Khan shares that her mom often sheds tears on the balcony
When the interviewer brought up how Manisha Koirala once shared that her parents would cry when she wasn't around but stayed composed in front of her, Hina opened up about her own mother’s emotional side. She explained, “For my mom, her go-to spot is the balcony. She closes the sliding door, sits outside, and lets her tears flow. Sometimes she cries in front of me, but mostly, it’s during Namaz that she really lets it out. There are moments when she feels pain, but she keeps a calm face. Yet, there are times when you just need to release that emotion and scream. That’s when she cries. We can’t change that. But I admire her strength and how she has managed everything; I’m really proud of her.”
Hina wonders how her dad would have reacted to her cancer diagnosis
Hina's dad passed away from a heart attack in 2021. She mentioned that both she and her mom often think about how he would have responded to her health struggles. She recalled, “My dad was really gentle. When Covid hit, our neighbor caught it, and he was like, ‘Oh no, what do we do now? We might get Covid too!’ But my mom is pretty tough. Sometimes, we chat about how he would have dealt with things if he were still here. He always treated me like royalty. My dad never got to see me like this. We frequently discuss what it would have been like if he were around. Honestly, it’s probably for the best that he didn’t have to see me like this.”
