Divyani Mondal, a household name for playing Phulki on television, did not have the time for Puja shopping as she had been shooting every day. However, she did not forget to shop for her close friends. She bought Puja dresses for them.
Divyani is known to be a disciple of Radha and Krishna. But Phulki considers them as her friends. She told Anandabazar Online, “They are my best friends. I buy dresses for them during the Puja. I consider them as god and goddess, but before that, they are my best friends.”
She did not have the time to shop for this Puja, but she bought dresses for Radha Krishna. “I did not get the time. When I went to order online, I saw that they would be delivered after Puja. But I bought six dresses each for Radha and Krishna. My mothers and grandmothers also bought dresses for them.”
Divyani decided to shop for herself in Delhi. She will go to Kashmir on a trip with her family this Puja. “Puja starts from the day of Mahalaya. Pandal hopping and food exploration are going on. My parents lived in Delhi. We will go there on Sashti. From there, we will go to Kashmir.”
Divyani once spent her Puja days in Kolkata. Since joining the entertainment industry, she has been going on trips during Puja, since such a long holiday is not available any other time. She will not skip Anjali even on the trip. She said that she would give Anjali at a temple in Jammu.
