Priyadarshan remarked, “I intend to start writing Hera Pheri 3 next year. Crafting the third installment will be quite challenging due to the high expectations. Audiences are eager to see Akshay, Paresh, and Suniel reunite. We often say that evoking tears or fear is relatively easy, but eliciting laughter is much more difficult—especially without resorting to double entendre. It is essential to develop humor that is genuine and relatable. Additionally, humor evolves over time, and audience preferences shift.”

He remarked, "It is essential for us to stay aligned with that. The characters have matured, and as a result, the audience must perceive their development as credible. These are vital factors to take into account. I view this as a challenge. We will observe how it unfolds. While certain scenarios may be heightened, it is important that they still resonate as plausible. Once I begin writing, I will gain a clearer perspective. I must indeed rise to this challenge and create a compelling script."
