Observant Reddit users noticed that guest judge Hema Malini was holding the script for an entire episode of Indian Idol during the broadcast. This revelation indicates that the discussions on the show may not be as spontaneous as viewers had previously believed.

Indian Idol is scripted?

The post features images from the Holi special episode, showcasing Hema dressed in a white saree. This episode was broadcast earlier this week. In the screenshots, she is seen smiling and engaging in conversation with someone out of view, while holding the show's script. The script contains not only the episode's outline but also the precise dialogue she is expected to deliver.

Reddit users expressed their astonishment at the meticulous planning involved in the show. One post stated, “I came across this image of Hema Malini holding the detailed script for last week’s episode of Indian Idol. This is for those who still think these shows are ‘real.’”

One user remarked, “This is quite embarrassing, to be honest.” Another shared their experience, saying, “I once worked backstage at a dance reality show, and everything was scripted, including Bharti Singh’s comedic timing and punchlines. Even when Govinda appeared as a judge, his comments about enjoying the song and the contestant's request for him to dance were all pre-planned.”
