Actor and Parliamentarian Hema Malini participated in the significant Maha Kumbh event in Prayagraj earlier this week. She immersed herself in the sacred waters of the Triveni Sangam during the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya. A video featuring her and fellow devotees has recently emerged on social media, capturing a lighthearted moment. In the footage, she is seen laughing heartily at the playful antics of yoga guru Baba Ramdev.
The video showcases several VIPs and other devotees taking dips in the holy river, including Hema Malini. However, when it is Ramdev's turn, someone releases his long hair, prompting him to perform a dramatic hair flip. This action inadvertently results in him splashing those behind him with his wet hair, not once but twice. Hema Malini observes this and cannot help but burst into laughter.
Celebs at Mahakumbh
In addition to Hema Malini, numerous other prominent figures, such as Sunil Grover, Kabir Khan, Guru Randhawa, Avinash Tiwary, Mamta Kulkarni, and Anupam Kher, have also taken part in the grand religious event.
The Maha Kumbh, which commenced on January 13, is set to run until February 26. The remaining important bathing dates during the Maha Kumbh include February 3 (Basant Panchami—Third Shahi Snan), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri).
Hema's Kumbh pilgrimage
Hema expressed her sentiments regarding the Kumbh, stating, “I consider it a great blessing to have the chance to perform a 'snan' on this sacred occasion.”
Hema Malini arrived at the Maha Kumbh on Monday evening. According to a brief statement from the Uttar Pradesh government, "The esteemed actress and Member of Parliament representing Mathura (Uttar Pradesh), Hema Malini, engaged in a spiritual discourse with Junapeethadhishwar Mahamandaleshwar Acharya Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj, affectionately referred to as 'Pujya Prabhushri Ji,' at the Prabhu Premi Sangh Kumbh Camp in Prayagraj, where she received his blessings."
The government also released several photographs of Malini with the revered seer.
On the same day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the Maha Kumbh with his family and had the opportunity to meet Avdheshanand Giriji Maharaj along with other spiritual leaders.
On that day, approximately 1.55 crore individuals participated in the holy bath at the Maha Kumbh, contributing to a total of over 14.76 crore pilgrims who have done so thus far, as reported by the government.
