Taha Shah Badussha is riding high on all the love and appreciation for his web show, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The actor essayed the role of Tajdar in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's series, which premiered on Netflix earlier this month. Amid Heeramandi's success, Taha headed to France to attend Cannes 2024. The actor was there to launch his film Paro's poster and trailer at Bharat Pavillion. Besides that, Taha admitted he attended Cannes 2024 to make contacts.

In an interview with News18, Taha Shah mentioned he was in Cannes to launch his film and make contacts. "So many people from America and Canada looked at me and said, ‘This guy is the star of Heeramandi but he’s acting like a newcomer’. I literally went around giving my card to people asking them to be in touch with me and watch Heeramandi," he said.

The Heeramandi actor stated he may not need to do all of this but he is aware of the place he comes from. Taha added out of the 500 to 600 people he met at Cannes and got the numbers of, he needs one person to believe in him. Taha stated he will keep hustling and building relationships.

Continuing the conversation, Taha Shah reacted to those who questioned how he made it to the French Riviera. "People are here to talk, so let them talk as much as they want to," he said. Unfazed by what people said, the Heeramandi actor mentioned his focus is simple, which is to wake up every day and give his 100% to work.

Taha Shah becomes a national crush

Meanwhile, netizens declared Taha Shah a national crush after watching his performance as Tajdar in Heeramandi. The actor shared screen space with Sharmin Segal aka Alamzeb in the Netflix series. Apart from them, the show featured Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Fardeen Khan, Richa Chadha, Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman.
