Rapper Hanumankind was among the numerous artists who took the stage at Coachella in California this year. To give his performance a desi vibe, he brought along a chenda melam, a traditional drumming ensemble, while he performed popular tracks like Run It Up and Big Dawgs.

Hanumankind collaborated with a chenda music group known as Kochuveetil Beats to showcase his home state of Kerala at Coachella. The percussion ensemble, dressed in traditional white attire, accompanied him during his performance of the new track, Run It Up, on stage.

A new video of Hanumankind rocking his breakout hit, Big Dawgs, was shared on an Instagram page. The audience was captured on their phones, singing along and going crazy during his performance. At one moment, the rapper even held out his mic to the crowd, inviting them to join in and take part in the show.

Chenda is a cylindrical drum that hails from Kerala and has been a key part of the region's festivals for centuries. So, when Hanumankind showed up at the festival to showcase Kerala's culture, fans were thrilled.

One fan shared, “The world isn’t ready for the amazing Indian performances coming up.” Another exclaimed, “Wow. Fire!” A fan even chimed in with a Malayalam comment, saying, “This is what it’s all about! DOPE! ABSOLUTELY DOPE!!!!!!” Someone else remarked, “This guy is destined for greatness.” The chenda players were also buzzing with excitement, with Immanuel Sunny saying, “Ayyyyyyy that's me!!”

Additionally, he made his acting debut in the successful Malayalam film "Rifle Club," released in 2024.
