Hansal Mehta criticizes Stree 2 for missing out on one aspect from the original film, see Rajkummar Rao's reaction to it

While the world is praising Rajkummar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 for everything, Rajkummar's many films director Hansal Mehta gave an honest opinion on the movie. He is also among those who loved the film but there was one aspect which the filmmaker did not shy away from critiquing about. Hansal Mehta found the original film better in that sense. Rajkummar, tagged on the post, has reacted to the same.

Hansal Mehta misses the message Stree had

Like many others, Hansal Mehta loved Stree 2 thoroughly. However, being someone who has closely seen Rajkummar Rao in action, he felt the need to be honest with his actor. Thus, the filmmaker pointed out that Stree 2 is a monster entertainer and a worthy successor to Raj and DK's Stree. What he misses is that the original film had a sharp message, whereas according to him Stree 2 could have worked on that. Nonetheless, he had a lot to admire and enjoy in the movie.

Rajkummar had only love for Hansal Mehta's message. "Love you sir. Thank you so much," the actor shared with a hug and red heart emoji.

Rajkummar received acclaims more recently for his roles in Mr. and Mrs. Dhoni, Srikanth and now, Stree 2. The actor has another film, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, releasing in 2024. It will be followed by Bhul Chuk Maaf, to be out in 2025. Rajkummar, we hear, could also be working in the second season of Guns & Gulaabs soon.
