On Thursday, the 33-year-old utilized her Instagram story to express her thoughts regarding the interview with Meghan. In her statement, she remarked, “Interviewing Megan Thee Stallion was a dream come true for me. I admire her music, and it serves as my go-to source of confidence before performances. Reflecting on the interview, I regret using the term ‘fight’ to articulate the influence her songs have on me.”

What happened during Berner’s interview with Meghan Thee Stallion

During the interview, DeSerbo expressed to the rapper, “I begin my day with you and only you,” to which Berner responded, “No, your music has truly — when I feel the urge to confront someone, I listen to your music.”

The Mamushi singer then remarked, “Because you want to discard that aggressive energy and embrace a more confident and fierce persona.” Berner further commented, “When people are speaking negatively, I say, ‘Put on Megan Thee Stallion!’” indicating her admiration for Meghan’s documentary titled In Her Words, which debuted on Amazon Prime in October of the previous year.

One Reddit user commented, “This situation is even worse than what occurred with Babyface at the Grammys. I cannot recall any song by Megan that addresses conflict; this is at the very least micro-aggressive, and I am certain Hannah believes her comments are unproblematic.” Another user stated, “Megan made significant efforts to steer her away from that.” A third user remarked, “Hannah is quite embarrassing; what is her purpose there?”
