The third installment of the successful HIT series, which is produced by the actor's Wall Poster Cinema banner and will be released in theaters on May 1, 2025, marks Telugu star Nani's (of Eega, Jersey, Hi Nanna, etc., fame) next release. HIT 3, directed by Sailesh Kolanu, who also directed the previous two HIT films, has Nani playing a cop for the first time in his career. Srinidhi Shetty, who gained fame with KGF, will star alongside Nani in the movie. This will be Shetty's debut in Telugu and first release in three years, since her Tamil film debut in 2022 with Cobra .

Nani: Audiences will understand HIT 3 without HIT 1 and 2

One such occasion was when Nani discussed his close relationship with Century Star Shivarajkumar and his co-star in Eega, Sudeep, while speaking with the Saregama Kannada music label. The actor also stated that he doesn't want new viewers to be put off by the franchise's third installment.

Nani asserts that HIT 3 can function as a stand-alone film even if the viewer has not seen the first two installments. "If you have not watched HIT 1 and 2, HIT 3 will work as a stand-alone film; you may only miss certain minor connections and characters that were established earlier. Although it might be a little more thrilling if you watch both movies before arriving to HIT 3, don't be scared that you won't be able to comprehend our film without seeing the previous installments," he said.

Nani, who is rumored to be playing both the hero and villain in HIT 3, chimed in that she had told her friends and family the same thing, but did recommend seeing the last few minutes of HIT 2, which introduces Arjun Sarkaar, Nani's character. "Without HIT 1 and 2, watching HIT 3 will definitely not be less of an experience," Nani said.
