Actor Gurucharan Singh, who was recently hospitalized, is now reported to be "out of danger and recovering at home." In an interview with News 18, his father, Hargit Singh, provided an update on the actor's health status. Gurucharan is widely recognized for his role as Roshan Sodhi in the television series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Gurucharan is recovering well

Hargit Singh expressed his relief, stating, "I am pleased to inform you that my son is feeling significantly better. He was hospitalized due to severe weakness, which had placed him in a critical state for a period. We were all quite concerned, but with the grace of the Almighty, he is now safe. He is recuperating at home and concentrating on rebuilding his strength. Gurucharan has started to eat properly, and we are providing him with fresh, nutritious meals. He is also prioritizing some peaceful moments at the Gurudwara, where he has just visited."

Gurucharan is ‘returning to a routine’

He further mentioned, "Gurucharan has commenced taking short walks and is gradually reestablishing his routine. We are ensuring that he does not overexert himself. We remain optimistic that with adequate time, rest, and care, he will fully recover." Gurucharan was admitted to the hospital on January 7, when his condition was deemed critical.

What happened to Gurucharan

According to reports, Gurucharan had refrained from drinking water for nearly 20 days, which resulted in significant weakness and loss of consciousness, necessitating his hospitalization. Earlier this month, he shared a video on Instagram discussing his health.

His friend, Bhakti Soni, recently informed the Times of India that the actor has secured a brand deal valued at ₹13 lakh. Bhakti also noted that Gurucharan had not been eating since his return home in May 2024. However, following the acquisition of the brand deal, he agreed to resume eating. Bhakti stated, "I have arranged a brand deal worth ₹13 lakh for Gurucharan Singh, which has been finalized. After that, he consented to break his fast. He will be traveling to Mumbai by the end of the month to begin shooting for the project."

Gurucharan garnered significant media attention in 2024 following his disappearance in April. He reappeared at his residence in Delhi in May, explaining that he had been dealing with various personal and professional challenges, which prompted him to embark on a "spiritual journey."
