Sunita Ahuja has addressed the comparisons made between Varun Dhawan and her husband, actor Govinda. In an interview with Hindi Rush, Sunita expressed her confusion regarding the rationale behind these comparisons. She remarked that it is likely disheartening for Varun to be likened to both Govinda and actor Salman Khan.

Sunita stated, “People say they compare, but I do not understand why they do so. It must also be upsetting for him to be compared to Salman Khan and Chi-Chi bhaiya.”

Reflecting on Varun's childhood, she noted, “The man has grown up watching… his father (David Dhawan) has collaborated with Govinda on 17-18 films. Naturally, there will be some resemblance. Varun has always been a cheerful child since his early years.”
