On October 1, Bollywood actor Govinda was rushed to the Criticare Hospital in Juhu after he accidentally shot himself with a gun in his leg. After the news, his close relatives as well as his wife Sunita Ahuja were seen visiting the actor in the hospital. Now in a recent development, Govinda's wife Sunita shared that he is doing fine and will be discharged tomorrow, October 4.

Speaking to The Times of India, Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja said, "Govinda ki tabiyat ab theek hai. Mostly aaj sham ko ya kal unko discharge denge. Abhi bohot theek hai. Aaj toh nahi, shayad kal hi discharge denge. (He is doing fine now, mostly he will be discharged today evening or tomorrow. He is doing much better now. Not today, but mostly tomorrow only he will be discharged)."
She also revealed that on the first day of Navratri, she has come to the hospital after praying and she's even prayed for him. After this, she shared a laugh and said, "Hero hai woh waise bhi jaldi theek ho jayega. (He's a hero, he will recover soon)."

Govinda accidentally shot in his leg when he was putting his gun into a cupboard but mistakenly dropped it which led to the shot. The incident was reported by his manager who rushed to his Mumbai residence to take him to a hospital for medical attention.
According to his manager, the actor was putting his revolver back into a cupboard - after cleaning it at around 4.45 am and then it misfired. He then called him and his wife and informed them about the mishap. "It is due to God's grace that Govinda ji sustained only a leg injury and it was nothing serious," his manager said in a statement.

Meanwhile, in a voice note obtained by IANS, Govinda was speaking in Hindi, where he opened up about the incident himself and said: “Namaskar, Pranam. I am Govinda. With the blessings of all of you and the blessings of my parents, and by the grace of my Guru, I was shot, but the bullet has been removed. I thank the doctor here, respected Dr. Garwal, and I thank all of you for your prayers."
