Bollywood icon Govinda was rushed to the Criticare Hospital in Juhu on October 1 after a misfire from his licensed firearm left him with a leg injury at his Juhu residence. The 60-year-old actor was preparing for a flight to Kolkata when the gun misfired. He underwent surgery to remove the bullet. Today, October 4, the actor was discharged from the hospital and he was seen with his family members.

A while ago, Govinda was discharged from the hospital after suffering a leg injury due to a gun misfire incident. The video posted by paparazzi shows the actor leaving the hospital in a wheelchair with his left leg wrapped in a bandage. He expressed his gratitude to his fans and media by folding his hands and also sharing a brought smile. In the clip, his wife Sunita Ahuja was also seen standing beside him.

Details about Govinda’s gunfire incident
On October 1, Govinda accidentally shot in his leg when he was putting his gun into a cupboard. However, he mistakenly dropped it leading to a gun misfire. The incident was reported by his manager who rushed to his Juhu residence. He took the actor to a hospital for medical attention where he underwent surgery.
On the other hand, in a voice note accessed by IANS, Govinda was speaking in Hindi, where he opened up about the gun misfire incident himself. He said, "Namaskar, Pranam. I am Govinda. With the blessings of all of you and the blessings of my parents, and by the grace of my Guru, I was shot, but the bullet has been removed. I thank the doctor here, respected Dr. Garwal, and I thank all of you for your prayers."
Meanwhile, according to police reports, the gun that Govinda was carrying was licensed. Speaking about the unfortunate incident, Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha explained that Govinda was in the process of securing his licensed revolver in its case when it slipped from his hand, discharging a bullet that hit his leg.
