The filmmaker has indicated that his next endeavour is likely to be Golmaal 5, as he seeks a departure from the extensive cop dramas he is known for. Although he has shared limited information, this revelation has sparked significant interest among fans, who are eager for the project to be expedited. Shreyas Talpade, a long-standing member of the franchise's cast, has expressed his enthusiasm for the fifth instalment and his desire for the original cast to come together once more for this new film.

In a discussion with Bollywood Hungama, he shared insights about his experiences within the Golmaal series. Sanjay Mishra, another key figure in the franchise, participated in the interview as well. They described their work on the Golmaal films as akin to a festive gathering or a paid holiday.

The actor highlighted the enjoyment they derive from creating the Golmaal movies and expressed his desire for the original cast to come together for the fifth instalment. “In fact, we’re looking forward to the making of Golmaal 5 so all of us can work together. So, let’s see when that happens,” Shreyas Talpade remarked.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Rohit Shetty revealed his intention to commence work on Golmaal 5, expressing a desire to take a respite after directing a significant film like Singham Again and to shift his focus to a lighter, comedic project. “I believe Golmaal will be my next endeavour before any police-themed film. I am eager to create Golmaal following a major project like Singham. It is lighthearted and joyful,” Rohit stated.

If Rohit Shetty begins production on Golmaal 5 at this time, it is plausible that the film could be released in early 2026. There is also a possibility that Shetty may aim for a Christmas 2025 release; however, this seems unlikely given that no concrete plans have been established as of now, or at least none are publicly known.
