Saif Ali Khan – one of the most well-dressed men in Bollywood – has a deep sartorial connection with Kolkata. It has been widely reported that Kolkata-based fashion designer-stylist Abhisek Roy has been collaborating with the actor. This Ganesh Chaturthi, when the actor attended Ambani’s celebration of Ganapati Bappa, Abhisek’s stylist touch was undeniable. 

Talking to OTTplay, Abhisek said that it has been a fun collaboration with Saif. “I taught him the dhoti draping on a video call and he managed it well,” said the designer. 

On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, along with wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif attended Ambani’s house in dhoti and kurta. Kareena was spotted in a red salwar kurta. Abhisek is behind Saif’s ensemble. The kurta that the actor was wearing was made of brocade. The designer has been designing the actor’s outfits for a while. Last year, their ensemble was a hit. Abhisek said, “It is a joy to work with Saif. He knows his style and he trusts the designer. He seeks comfort and a perfect fit. If he is offered these two things, we are good.”  

Abhisek has been designing for Tollywood stars for years. From Swastika Mukherjee to Swastika Dutta and Mimi Chakraborty – a bevy of actresses are often seen in his ensemble.
