Akash Jagannadh, also known as Akash Puri, the son of film director Puri Jagannadh, attended the closing ceremony of the DS Memorial Sports Competitions organized by the Nizamabad Sports Promotional Society as the chief guest. Speaking at the event, he said that sports play a significant role in both mental and physical development.

I urge teachers and parents to do their part in encouraging today's generation to develop an interest in games like Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, and Volleyball. He said that he was very happy Mr. Dharmapuri Sanjay organizing this tournament and  invited  me as the chief guest.then  he presented awards to the winners. The event was attended by former mayor Dharmapuri Sanjay, film producer and actor Journalist Suresh Kondeti, among others.
