Gabriel Macht recently shared his thoughts on his former co-star Meghan Markle as the beloved legal drama Suits makes a comeback. The 53-year-old touched on the royal family and suggested that there might be a chance for the Duchess of Sussex to return to the NBC spinoff, Suits LA, which just launched at the end of last month.

Even though Gabriel Macht portrayed Harvey Specter in all 134 episodes of the original series that aired for nine seasons, he decided to step back into the role “for the fans.” In a chat with USA Today, he expressed his surprise at how the show, which debuted in 2011, gained immense popularity after it hit Netflix in 2023.

The Whiteout star also shared that he “never in a million years” expected to be answering questions about the royal family because of a former co-star. Meghan Markle played Rachel Zane, Harvey's paralegal, in the series.

When asked about the Duchess of Sussex's influence on the show's streaming success, Macht said, “I don't know the logistics; I don't know the numbers. But possibly. I mean, she's quite known around the world these days, right?”

In another interview with Extra, Macht talked about the return of original Suits characters in the spinoff series. “We do know Rick Hoffman's coming back, and I think fans are gonna love that. Patrick [J. Adams] and Sarah [Rafferty] have mentioned that they would love to come back,” he noted.

“I'm sure that's gonna happen at some point. I don't know for sure right now if it's happening this season,” Macht added, keeping the door open for a potential cameo by Meghan with a “never say never” remark.

Although he admitted he hasn't had the chance to watch Meghan's Netflix series, With Love, he said, “All good things for Meghan. I hope she's doing great.”
