Music composer and actor GV Prakash Kumar, along with his wife, singer Saindhavi, may have parted ways in 2024; however, they remain collaborative. Fans were delighted to witness Saindhavi performing at Prakash’s concert in Malaysia. In an interview with Cinema Viketan, the composer discussed the prospect of working with her again following their separation.

In December of the previous year, footage of Saindhavi performing at Prakash's concert in Malaysia gained significant attention online. During a recent interview, when questioned about this event, Prakash responded with a smile, stating, “We are extreme professionals. And we have respect for each other. Because of that respect, we are there (and continue to collaborate).”

Fans expressed their admiration for Prakash's response, with one individual remarking, “We need GV P and Saindhavi duet songs in upcoming movies. All of your fans will celebrate it.” Another fan noted, “They are very clear about differences in personal and professional…really very matured Gv and Saindhavi.”

Saindhavi and Prakash recently performed the song "Pirai Thedum," which they originally recorded in 2011 for the romantic drama "Mayakkam Enna," featuring Dhanush, at a concert in Malaysia. As the composer accompanied on the piano, Saindhavi took the spotlight, delivering an emotional performance. A video of this rendition circulated widely on social media, evoking nostalgia among fans.

In May of the previous year, Prakash and Saindhavi publicly confirmed their separation after a period of speculation. They stated, “After much reflection, Saindhavi and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage, for the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other,” in their announcement.

In response to ongoing speculation regarding their marriage, Prakash expressed, “It’s disheartening to see people debate about the union or separation of two people without proper understanding.” Saindhavi also clarified that their divorce was not influenced by any external factors.
