This list highlights individuals who have made a notable impact across various fields, from entertainment to music. Among the featured names are actors like Demi Moore, Blake Lively, Kristen Wiig, and Scarlett Johansson. Additionally, it spotlights a singer whose remarkable journey has resonated globally, bringing together people of all ages through the art of storytelling.

A person who has a significant impact on the world

Ed Sheeran has made it onto Time Magazine's 2025 list of the 100 most influential people in the world. In his citation, actor Chris Hemsworth praised Ed, saying he has a “gift for storytelling that makes it seem like he crafted each song just for you, regardless of your background or experiences."

Ed Sheeran's path to success

Ed Sheeran was born in 1991 in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and he showed a passion for music early on, joining the church choir at just six years old. With creatively inclined parents, John and Imogen, it was clear he was destined for music. By the age of eleven, he had already picked up the guitar. When he turned eighteen, he began his journey as a busker in London.

In 2008, Ed auditioned for the CBBC musical drama Britannia High but didn’t make the cut. However, that setback didn’t hold him back. He spent a year at ACM in Guildford before deciding to hit the road with singer Just Jack. His big break came in 2010 when he shared a video on SB.TV, leading to the release of his debut single, The A Team, which quickly resonated with listeners.

In 2011, Ed dropped his first album, Plus, and the rest is history. Tracks like Lego House and You Need Me, I Don't Need You became instant favorites, establishing him as a rising star. His collaboration with Taylor Swift on Everything Has Changed further boosted his fame. His second album, × (Multiply), released in 2014, was a massive hit, earning nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year at the 57th Grammy Awards. With over 200 million records sold globally, he stands as one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Ed in India

Earlier this year in January, Ed kicked off his 6-city tour in India with an unforgettable show in Pune. He caught fans off guard with a surprise performance on Church Street in Bengaluru, but the police intervened, and a video of the incident quickly went viral.

During the Bengaluru concert, he wowed the crowd by bringing out singer Shilpa Rao. He also made a stop in West Bengal, visiting the hometown of Arijit Singh. In Chennai, he teamed up with Indian composer AR Rahman for a special version of the classic song Urvasi. It's clear that India adores him, and fans are eagerly anticipating his return.
