Apoorva Bharadwaj, the Kannada actress, has been around in the entertainment scene for ten years now. She’s worked as a TV anchor and has appeared in various TV shows and movies. However, she feels that she’s just now starting to get the recognition she deserves. Recently, she had two films come out back-to-back – Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdaararu and Nodidavaru Enantare – and both featured her in standout roles that really caught people’s eyes.

Since last November, the response has been pretty amazing. This marks my 11th year in the industry, but the love and recognition I've received for my films Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdaararu and Nodidavaru Enantare is something I've never experienced before. It made me realize that I want even more of it,” the actress shared on the Talkman Show podcast.

Interestingly, her roles in these films are completely different – in Nimma Vasthugalige Neeve Javaabdaararu, she plays a lively, impulsive kleptomaniac who acts without thinking about the consequences. On the other hand, in Nodidavaru Enantare, her character is much more laid-back and easygoing, which she says reflects her real-life personality.

Apoorva also mentioned that one thing she learned from working on these films is that audiences don’t really care if a new or experienced team is behind the scenes. As long as the product is entertaining, they’ll show their support. “We didn’t need to announce that these were made by new teams. Once people started talking about how good the content was, that was all the promotion we needed,” she explained.

Apoorva, who recently tried her hand at directing with a segment in the anthology BTS, is really eager to take on a full-length film. She’s got a list of actors she dreams of working with, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vijay Sethupathi, Kiccha Sudeep, and Kishore. “It would be incredible to see how they perform under my direction,” she shared, mentioning, "Actually, my next project could very well be a directorial one. I haven't signed on for any acting roles yet."
