Shilpa Shirodkar participated in the reality television program Bigg Boss 18, which is hosted by Salman Khan, from October of the previous year until her eviction after 102 days. Her sister, Namrata Shirodkar, who is an actress and the wife of Mahesh Babu, expressed her joy at Shilpa's return on social media.

Namrata Shirodkar expressed her happiness upon Shilpa's return. She shared several photographs on her Instagram account featuring her sister, captioning them with, “So happy to have you back!!! @shilpashirodkar73.” In the images, Namrata wore a casual top and pants, while Shilpa was seen in a traditional salwar set. Shilpa also had the opportunity to celebrate Namrata's birthday, posting a heartfelt message that read, “Happiest birthday my chin. I love you so much and you have absolutely no idea how much I missed you. You are truly my one and only @namratashirodkar.” Boney Kapoor commented on Namrata's post, referring to them as ‘twins.’

Namrata, who turned 53 on January 22, appeared to celebrate this milestone with her sister. Shilpa shared a reel on Instagram dedicated to Namrata, stating, “Wishing you happy, happier, and happiest birthday @namratashirodkar. How I missed you and just simply talking to you for the past three months. Whether it was a call or just over a cup of coffee, you are and will always be the special one for me! Thank you for being not just an amazing sister, but also my constant source of love, strength, and happiness! Love you so much!”

This comes in light of recent criticism directed at Namrata and Mahesh babu for not publicly supporting Shilpa during her time on Bigg Boss.

During her time on the show, Shilpa competed against various contestants, including Rajat Dalal, Chahat Pandey, Shrutika Arjun, Nyrraa Banerjee, Muskan Bamne, Alice Kaushik, Tajindar Bagga, Chum Darang, Avinash Singh, Vivian Dsena, Karan Veer Mehra, among others. On Sunday night, Karan emerged as the winner, taking home the trophy and prize money, while Vivian secured the runner-up position
