Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of Saif Ali Khan, has recently made his acting debut in the film Nadaaniyan. Following its release on Netflix, he has faced a wave of criticism regarding his performance. In this film, he shared the screen with Khushi Kapoor. However, filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has come to the defense of both Ibrahim and Khushi, expressing his belief that Ibrahim is destined to become a significant star.

Vikram Bhatt praises Ibrahim Ali Khan

In an interview with Galatta India, Vikram Bhatt stated that he did not perceive any major flaws in the acting abilities of Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor. He expressed confusion over the negative comments circulating on social media about Nadaaniyan, as he appreciated the performances of both lead actors.

"I found Ibrahim to be commendable; the quality of the film is a separate issue. Nowadays, discussions about nepotism are prevalent, and to counter those arguments, one must excel, which is an unfair expectation for newcomers. This is his debut film. Who truly excels in their first role? He possesses a strong screen presence and demonstrates an understanding of acting. Therefore, I feel disheartened by the criticism," Vikram remarked.

He further added, "I did not see any issues with his performance. While the film may not align with my personal tastes, I recognize that I am not the intended audience for it." Despite the romantic drama targeting a GenZ demographic, Vikram found both Ibrahim and Khushi to be talented.

He confidently predicted Ibrahim's future success, stating, "I can assure you in writing that Ibrahim will become a major star." The director also commented on the comparisons between Ibrahim and his father, Saif, suggesting that Ibrahim is performing better than Saif did in his early career.

Ibrahim Ali Khan's upcoming movies

Regarding his upcoming projects, Ibrahim Ali Khan is reportedly set to appear in a film titled Sarzameen, alongside Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Additionally, he is said to be in discussions for another film featuring Sreeleela.
