Filmmaker Anurag Basu's Metro... In Dino has been in the works for quite some time, with its release date being announced a few times. However, there hasn't been any official update regarding a new release date yet. Fatima Sana Shaikh, who stars in the movie, recently shared her experience working with Anurag. The actress revealed that the filmmaker and his wife supported her during her low days while working on the film.

In an interview, Fatima was asked whether it is logistically challenging to work with a director whose film shoots extend beyond the planned schedule. She responded by saying that it is easy for her.
She further explained, "As a director, he is considerate and takes care of you. People may assume that if the film takes longer, it’s because a lot of shooting is happening, but that’s not true. Since his films have an ensemble cast, he needs to coordinate the schedules of many actors. If you trust him, he will bring out the best performance in you. Plus, his characters are so well-written."
The actress also mentioned that Anurag tailors his approach based on each actor's strengths. She gave an example: "If there’s a monologue and he knows I might struggle with the dialogues, he will ask me to learn the scene but without a preconceived idea of how it should be played."

In Dino is an anthology featuring a star-studded cast, including Ali Fazal, Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher. According to media reports, some segments of the film had to be re-shot because the director wasn’t satisfied with the initial footage. The film was initially scheduled to release on November 29, 2024, but its release has been postponed, and the new date is yet to be announced.
