On Sunday, Suniel expressed his joy on X (formerly Twitter) regarding India's triumph over New Zealand in the Champions Trophy. The actor posted an image of KL Rahul gazing upward and lifting his bat as he exited the field following the significant victory. Accompanying the image, he remarked, "INDIA’S WISH !!!! Rahul’s COMMAND ……”.

KL Rahul significantly contributed to India's triumph by remaining not out on 34, thereby securing the return of the Champions Trophy to the nation. Before this, in the semi-final match against Australia, his outstanding performance garnered considerable admiration from fans, as he struck the decisive six that propelled Team India into the final.

Suniel's recent post on X has elicited admiration from fans regarding his role as a supportive father-in-law. One user commented, "This is the ideal father-in-law! Athiya gazed at the screen, which captured Rahul celebrating the win, and she tagged him with a heart emoji.

Suniel was recently seen in Karan Johar's production, Nadaaniyan. The film, which premiered on Netflix, featured him as Khushi Kapoor’s father. He has several exciting projects lined up. The actor will be seen in Welcome to the Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Sanjay Dutt, and Disha Patani, among others. The film is set to release later this year.
