Director and actor Farhan Akhtar took social media by storm as he was filming his next project in Ladakh. As soon as he dropped a picture from Ladakh, fans started asking whether it was for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara 2, Don 3, or Jee Le Zaraa.

On August 28, Farhan Akhtar posted a picturesque photo of Ladakh on his Instagram account. Sharing the picture, he added that he is in Ladakh for his upcoming film and asked fans to wait for an exciting announcement soon. 

He captioned it, "Back in Ladakh after Lakshya and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to shoot for a very special film. Details to be revealed soon. Watch this space."

Fans react

As soon as he dropped the picture, fans were quick enough to react to it. One fan wrote, "@faroutakhtar whenever you pack your bags for Ladakh magic happens. Will wait for awesomeness." Another wrote, "Hope you are directing aur acting in a movie. Being your fan we are dying to see you in these roles."

Some fans also asked whether it is for Don 3 or Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara 2. A third fan used a reference to Hrithik Roshan’s character Arjun from ZNMD and asked if Arjun’s phone was found.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Farhan was asked about the sequel to ZNMD. He said, “We have already used the term Dobara in our title, so what should we call the part two? We have the story but not the title and hence we are stuck. It has happened first time in the history of filmmaking.” 

The actor further added that they all want the sequel to happen as it’s a loved film. The team is often asked about part two of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara as the audiences have owned the film. "We all hope that Zoya will come up with something for the sequel. It’s her brainchild, so we hope," Akhtar added. 

Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar will start filming Don 3 in 2025. The actor-filmmaker confirmed to Pinkvilla and said that he is really looking forward to it. Don 3 will also star Kiara Advani and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.

Farhan last produced Kunal Kemmu's Madgaon Express earlier this year. As a director, apart from the Don franchise, he has helmed Dil Chahta Hai and Lakshya.
