During the occasion, Sai Pallavi expressed her admiration for Vanga, describing him as "unfiltered and unapologetic," a remark that has caused some discontent among her fanbase.

She continued, “When your passion is directed appropriately—evident in your journey from creating Arjun Reddy to producing films in the north, and now undertaking even larger projects—audiences eagerly anticipate your work. This, I believe, is a significant achievement.”

Fans express dissatisfaction with Sai

A video capturing her remarks from the event circulated online, prompting fans to voice their discontent regarding her comments. One user remarked, “Clown opinion.” Another stated, “Didn’t expect this from you.” An individual on X commented, “Sai, I used to admire you.” Another added, “Please tell me she’s being sarcastic.” One user noted, “Sai Pallavi is losing her aura points.” Another expressed, “Seriously, not expected from you, Sai.” A particularly critical comment read, “Being unfiltered does not equate to justifying toxicity in interviews and films. This reinforces the notion that many cinema stars are disconnected from reality.”

Ananya Panday has garnered newfound respect from many, particularly for her candid remarks on Koffee with Karan, where she stated that films such as Kabir Singh do not resonate with her. A fan expressed, “This made me appreciate Ananya Panday; she demonstrated the bravery to confront Karan Johar and Vijay Deverakonda, asserting that the glorification of characters like Kabir Singh is inappropriate and that such individuals lack appeal. Regarding Thandel, Sai Pallavi is set to star alongside Naga Chaitanya in this romantic action thriller, which is both written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti and presented by Allu Aravind. The film draws inspiration from a true event involving fishermen from Srikakulam who inadvertently entered Pakistani waters, and it is scheduled for release in theatres on February 7.
