Fan Brings Cat to Theater, Recreates Iconic Simba Moment at Mahesh Babu's Mufasa Screening

Mahesh Babu's admirers will need to exercise a bit more patience before they can witness their beloved star on-screen once more in the upcoming SS Rajamouli film. In the interim, they have chosen to conclude the year with a festive celebration, spurred by the actor's involvement in dubbing the Telugu version of Disney's recent release, Mufasa: The Lion King. One enthusiastic fan was so delighted that they brought their cat along to join in the festivities.

A multitude of images and videos showcasing Mahesh's fans revelling in music and displaying posters of Mahesh's Mufasa: The Lion King can be found circulating on X (formerly Twitter) in the Telugu states. Additionally, there are several recordings of fans tossing confetti inside theatres each time Mahesh speaks about Mufasa.

One particular fan from Vijayawada stood out by bringing their orange cat to the theatre and raising it aloft in a manner reminiscent of Simba before the screening. Images and videos captured at Alankar Theatre depict many fans displaying posters of Mahesh and enthusiastically cheering for him. Notably, one fan elevated their cat in a pose akin to Rafiki presenting Simba in The Lion King.

One fan commented on X, referring to the event as the "Bezawada mass," while another humorously labelled it as a "mental mass" due to the presence of a cat. A different individual quipped, "The creativity of the Telugu audience is far superior; how do they come up with such ideas?" Many others who shared the video expressed their amusement at the fan's decision to bring a cat to replicate the famous scene.

Indian versions of Mufasa: The Lion King

Aaron Pierre provided the voice of Mufasa in the original English version of The Lion King, while Mahesh lent his voice to the Telugu adaptation. Shah Rukh Khan was responsible for the Hindi version, and Arjun Das voiced the character in the Tamil version. Additionally, Nani had previously voiced Simba in the 2019 live-action rendition of The Lion King.
