Actor Jacqueline Fernandez's mom, Kim, was recently admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. Due to this situation, Jacqueline has decided to skip her performance at the IPL ceremony on Wednesday, as confirmed by a source close to her.

Jacqueline was seen outside a hospital in Mumbai on Monday, as her mother, Kim, is currently hospitalized. A source close to her revealed, “Jacqueline’s mother is still in the ICU and is on the road to recovery. The family is waiting for more updates from the doctors. During this tough time, Jacqueline has decided to stay by her mother’s side, which means she will unfortunately miss her performance at the IPL ceremony.”

Jacqueline was scheduled to perform before the IPL match in Guwahati tomorrow, featuring the Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders, but she has opted out. Her mother was admitted to the ICU following a heart stroke, prompting Jacqueline to rush back to Mumbai on Monday. She was seen making trips between their home in Bandra and the hospital throughout the day. Her friend and co-star, Salman Khan, also paid a visit to the hospital to offer his support.

Jacqueline was last seen in the 2024 film Fateh, directed by Sonu Sood, which got mixed reviews. She also appeared in the music video for Yimmy Yimmy by Shreya Ghoshal and Tayc. Currently, she’s filming for Welcome to the Jungle and Housefull 5.

In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, she shared, “I also worked on a web show last year that’s set to come out this year. I’m really looking forward to it because it’s my first show, and it focuses on dance and music. It’s definitely going to bring something fresh this year.”

Jacqueline made her acting debut in 2009 with Aladin and has since featured in movies like Housefull 2, Murder 2, Kick, Brothers, Dishoom, Judwaa 2, and Mrs. Serial Killer.
