Imtiaz Ali is one of the most celebrated filmmakers in the entertainment industry. From Jab We Met, Rockstar to Amar Singh Chamkila, his films remain in people's hearts. Now, as per the latest report, the filmmaker has locked his next directorial and it is a love story. Notably, Fahadh Faasil is set to make his Bollywood debut with this film. 

Details about Imtiaz Ali's upcoming love story

Pinkvilla reported that Fahadh Faasil is in advanced talks to make his Hindi Film debut with Imtiaz Ali’s next directorial. 

“Fahadh and Imtiaz have done several meetings over the last few months, and their energies have aligned in the right way. Both of them prefer to work in the right setup and are set to team up for the first time. Fahadh is also excited to debut in the Hindi space with a director like Imtiaz,” the report mentioned. 

It further added the film will be a love story, with a unique pattern of story-telling. According to the source, Imtiaz is making a pure love story and the casting for the female protagonist is underway. 

"He is excited about the subject and feels this is the right time to tell the story. He has gone ahead to pitch the film to Fahadh because he feels that the actor fits the bill and the story calls for his casting,” the source added.

The portal also mentioned that Imtiaz Ali's directorial will go on floors in the first quarter of 2025 and will be released by the end of next year. 

The filmmaker is currently putting the final touches on his script and after that, he will proceed with the pre-production work.

Imtiaz Ali drops post hinting at his next after Laila Majnu

A few hours ago, Imtiaz dropped a post seemingly hinting at his next directorial. The picture in the post features a piece of paper, decorated with autumn leaves where several story names were written including Romeo-Juliet.

The other names include Sassi-Punnu, Sohni-Mahiwal, Mirza-Sahiba, Shireen-Farhad, and Heer-Ranjha. Sharing the names, he confirmed that the scirpt is ready for all and informed his fans that his next film would also be a love legend.
