Sahil Khan, best remembered for his roles in Style and Excuse Me, has been arrested in the Mahadev betting app scam. He was arrested in Chhattisgarh. Sahil underwent rigorous questioning and eventually, the court remanded him judicial custody.

Sahil Khan has been arrested in Chhattisgarh. The Special Investigating Team (SIT) of Mumbai Police Cyber Cell and the Chhattisgarh Police worked together in the arrest. The actor was bought to Mumbai from Chhattisgarh on the morning of Sunday, April 28. Here, he is under judicial custody for four days.

Tried to flee?

According to reports, after his plea was rejected in High Court, the actor tried to flee from Mumbai and was on the run. Sahil underwent 40 hours of rigorous interrogation before being arrested in the case. He is among the 32 suspects being investigated. This means that Sahil's bank accounts, mobile phones, laptop and other devices are all under investigation. The SIT had previously found illegal transactions between financial and real estate firms in Chhattisgarh, and promoters of the Mahadev betting app.

About Mahadev betting app scam

Tamannaah Bhatia was summoned in the case earlier in the week. She was summoned for promoting IPL matches on the fairplay betting app.

Mahadev betting app first made headlines when Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor were summoned for promoting the app. They underwent questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Mahadev app was founded and operated by Chattisgarh's Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal. They hail from Bhilai and the app was operated from the head office in the UAE.
