Despite Kanguva not providing significant assistance to Suriya, it appears that the actor is intent on establishing a robust slate of films. Previously, we mentioned that Suriya is set to collaborate with directors Karthik Subbaraj and RJ Balaji for Suriya 44 and Suriya 45, respectively. Additionally, it seems that the actor will also be partnering with Malayalam director Amal Neerad.

Amal Neerad and Suriya to team up?

According to reports, Suriya, who is currently considering various narratives, is in discussions with director Amal Neerad regarding a potential film project. The production team is anticipated to complete filming within 40 days, reflecting the rapid pace typical of the Malayalam film industry. It is significant to mention that this collaboration will be the first between Suriya and Amal Neerad, known for his works such as Varathan, Bheeshma Parvam, and Big B.

An official announcement has not yet been issued; however, it will be intriguing to observe the cinematic offerings from the duo. The film is anticipated to feature actors from both the Malayalam and Tamil film industries, with plans for a simultaneous release in both languages. Given that Suriya is presently engaged in two Tamil projects, it is reasonable to conclude that the collaboration with Amal Neerad will require additional time to come to fruition.

Bougainvillea on OTT: Where to watch the Amal Neerad film

Amal Neerad recently directed Bougainvillea, a crime mystery thriller that premiered in October. The film features Kunchacko Boban and Jyothirmayi in the principal roles, with Fahadh Faasil making a cameo appearance. Following its theatrical release, the film is scheduled to be available for streaming on SonyLIV starting December 13, and it will also be accessible on OTTplay Premium. The film will be offered in five languages: Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Bougainvillea is co-produced by Jyothirmayi and Kunchacko Boban, under the banners of Amal Neerad Productions and Udaya Pictures. The screenplay is crafted by Lajo Jose and Amal Neerad. The cast includes Sharaf U Dheen, Srindaa, Veena Nandakumar, Shobi Thilakan, Jinu Joseph, Athira Patel, Vijilesh Karayad, Nisthar Sait, among others. The musical score is composed by Sushin Shyam, while Anend C Chandran serves as the director of photography, and Vivek Harshan is responsible for the editing.
