The recently married couple, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala disclosed in an interview that a significant portion of their relationship was spent in separate cities. While the actress from Made In Heaven resided in Mumbai, Naga was located in Hyderabad. After engaging in conversation for several days on Instagram, the actor ultimately chose to travel to Mumbai for a lunch date with Sobhita at a well-known café. This act marked a significant milestone in their relationship.
“That was the delightful aspect. It felt quite traditional in a sense," Sobhita remarked. “I do not particularly enjoy texting. I am not fond of communicating through social media," Chaitanya stated.
The pair subsequently came together in April 2022 at an event held in Mumbai. The actress recounted, “I was wearing a red dress, while he donned a blue suit. And the rest is history," reflecting on their attendance at the slate announcement event for Amazon Prime Video India. Sobhita was there to unveil the second season of Made In Heaven, whereas Chaitanya was present to announce his inaugural OTT series, Dhootha.
Additionally, the couple shared insights about their first trip together, noting that they travelled to Bandipur National Park in Karnataka during the summer months. They were accompanied by friends of Naga Chaitanya on this excursion. The two engaged in activities such as playing chess and applying mehendi on each other’s hands. “He’s a doer, I’m a be-er. I’m the fluttering kite and he’s the anchor. Our differences truly kept us intrigued and curious about one another," Sobhita remarked.
Later, in November, Sobhita Dhulipala met Naga Chaitanya and took a trip to London to celebrate the latter's birthday. The following year, the actress met Chay's family in Visakhapatnam.
